WestLawn Canton Ohio

WestLawn Cemetery is a beautiful cemetery chartered in 1859 and the burial site of  President Wm. Mckinley..  It has many interesting monuments and Fall is a great time to visit when all the trees are in full color.

This was a very small White Bronze.. for a child.  The inscription was very touching..
" Florence sleeps where the trailing ivy creeps.
Gem to pure for mortal eyes, now sleeps in paradise.
Free from earthly toil and pain, loving Angels led her in.
Christ his tender lambs will keep, Florence sleeps. "

                   Another White Bronze

White Bronze

Almost didn't see this White Bronze .  Tree is starting to push it over..

This is the Recieving Vault where McKinley was first laid to rest until his monument was completed.. The picture to the right is the top of the vault from behind.. Amazingly, there are several graves on there..so I assume that the vault isn't as high inside as it looks to be from the front..

Very neat bench style stone.. this cemetery has so many unique monuments.

Something about her face that I liked alot..

Sadly, there is some vandalism in this cemetery...
can't be sure this wasn't just aging,
but doubtful something this large just rolled off by itself.. ??
